Curriculum Vitae
Marius Herb, born 2000 in Augsburg (Germany), began to play the organ in the age of 12. His first teacher was Peter Bader who is the organist at the basilica St. Ulrich and Afra in Augsburg. From 2016 to 2020 he studied church music and Organ in Regensburg where he was taught by Prof. Franz Josef Stoiber, the organist of Regensburg cathedral. After his bachelor education he studied two years at the university of Mainz in the master‘s program with Prof. Gerhard Gnann. In 2019, Marius Herb was the youngest participant to win a first prize at the International Organ Competition of the Cologne University of Music and Dance in cooperation with the historic town hall in Wuppertal. In 2020 he was awarded the Music Prize of the City of Regensburg. Marius Herb was also a finalist in the organ competition of the Deidesheim Music Autumn. In 2022 he won the first Prize of the Rheinberger Organ Competition.
Between 2022 and 2023 he studied at the CNSMDP in Paris with Olivier Latry and Thomas Ospital. He played several concerts in Germany and Europe (e.g. Saint Eustache Paris, Cathedral of München, Cathedral of Regensburg, Minster of Freiburg, Royal chapel of Versailles, Historic Town-hall of Wuppertal, Konzerthaus Berlin etc.). As well he played together with orchestras and did recordings for the SWR.
Right now he is studying at University of Munich with Prof. Bernhard Haas.
